Tunnel ram air cleaners...
I am looking at three different styles and would like some input on your preferences. Some pictures of tunnel rams with filters would be nice if anyone has some to post up.
The first style is the K&N velocity stack part #1911. Like these;

I think these have the best performance potential, large filters and so on.
Next would be a "Hilborn" blower style like the one for sale here;
http://www.ebay.com/itm/150774378503...WAX:IT&vxp=mtr
Looks cool but I don't like the little air filters. Possible air restriction? HP loss?
Lastly is a chrome velocity stack(s) with a foam filter like these;
http://www.ebay.com/itm/360439446910...WAX:IT&vxp=mtr
Looks cool also, plenty of filter area, cheapest too.
What do you think?
The motor is a 460 with TRW 2443Ns with the dome cut down to .100"(about 10.5:1 compression), ported D3 heads with Cobra Jet sized valves, Lunati solid flat tappet 41607, http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=2288&gid=247, Eagle I beam rods, Weiand tunnel ram with two 750 Carter comp carbs, C-4 trans with brake, converter 3200 stall but will be restalled to probably 4000 later, gears to be determined, probably 4.10s. 29" drag radials. 2" primary tube headers in a 1986 hatchback mustang. The car will be a weekend toy, some car cruises, and a few trips to the track a summer.
Opinions? Suggestions?
Thanks
Jess
