Cleaning up the Transfer Case
Well the truck got out of storage early so a few mods are getting done before beating on her for another season. Transfer case is getting new bearings, seals, level indicator, 1350 output yoke and some sweet billet covers. Cleaned her up in preparation for the POR15.

Well the POR15 is on, left the old covers on to save the trouble of masking. Next are the bearings and the bling covers.

That's why I enjoy the 1356. Changing it is like walkin into the beer store with a case of empties and walking out with a new case. Lol.
Not quite as enjoyable as the beer though.

Well it's back in the truck and the new 4" heavy duty driveshaft gets ordered tomorrow. It will take longer to find time to drive down (2.5hrs) to pick it up and get it painted than anything else.

Where did you get the new cover and retainers? Those are NICE!!!!!!!!!! Like the air hose fittings and hose for a oil level indicator too.

Re: Cleaning up the Transfer Case
What is the reasoning other than looks for replacing the covers? I have never broken a cover before so wandering if that was a problem other are having.

I was changing bearings, retainers, gaskets and decided if I was had it out I would clean and paint it. The billet pieces are just bling, but I like it
