Re: gear fluid ?
I use 75-140 I get from work, its a syn lube........good chit and its free.
I change gears pretty often so its changed pretty often, always looks new.................its the same lube used in all the truck diffs at work, honestly they see more load than the car does.................and heat.

Re: gear fluid ?
Gears only last a few years for us and we change the fluid then, so I would say.....every couple of years. LOL!
Oh and we use 75w-90 full synthetic.

Damn, I'd have been changing it 7 or 8 times a year when I raced every weekend. I usually run it till the gear breaks!
I usually change engine oil at 35-40 passes.

Peace of mind I guess. If I can't afford gear lube then I'm selling out.cool40 wrote:damn! yall spend money on shit for no reason!Barney wrote:I change it at 40 passes.
Gear oil
I have been using richmond brand gear lube .It is what they recomend whenever you use one of there gear sets .It is a synthetic .I had this in my car a couple of years .When I pulled my gear out (4.56 richmond) this year it looked great .I have also used the mobil 1 syn.gear lube with good luck.Doug

gear oil
Red line High Shock 75-90wt. Synthetic, and micro shock particles cushion ring & pinion. I use it in my toploaders as well, great stuff. I only change it when I change ratios, maybe once a year.
