Progress on the 57
Made some progress on the wife's 57 today. Pulled the 5.0 out of the donor car Mustang and set it in place in the 57. Fits great. This was too easy. I'm not used to bolt in style projects. We usually have to fabricate everything. We'll pull it back out to detail everything but the mock up looks like it will work.

Looks very nice! Are you planning on using the cars computer harness or buying aftermarket? A friend and I swapped a compete mustang FI harness into a Ranger about 10 years ago came out very nice and everything on the Ranger worked just as if it had come factory with a 5.0. We even put the V8 factory tach in the Ranger.

Computer
Yep. I kept the entire engine harness and computer. I started taking the rest of the under dash wiring out but after a few hours of unplugging those darn connectors I decided I didn't need all of that. I thought about using the gage cluster but decided it wouldn't look right in the 57 dash. I got the fuel pump inertia switch and relay etc. I need a good source for an external fuel pump because I have a brand new tank for the 57. I'm going to take my trick flow intake and GT-40P heads off my 95 Mustang daily driver before I sell it so this thing should run pretty good. Not quite a big block but a much easier swap and I can get close to 20 mpg.

You could probably add the in tank pump to the existing pickup assembly, I have done it before.
