Piston to valve Clearance Empty Piston to valve Clearance

Just wondering if anyone would know what the piston to valve clearance is intake and exhaust on a A514 Ford Motorsport Crate motor. The tech sheet that I received with the motor says, .100"intake., .125"exh., .060"radial(to edge of notch), but I need to know what the exact clearance is as I have a new cam and want to know if I have to notch the pistons or not. The motor is apart right now and the new cam is waiting to go in, but if I can find out what the clearance is then maybe I can save myself time on the cam install.
Thanks,
Bob

I've always had to assemble the deal and throw some clay in there to get an idea how much room it had, cam timing-valve lash etc plays a role here too.

+1 on the clay. Even thou it takes time to do it, it's time well spent.

Either clay it or take your chances, the only way to find out. if right you can be lucky, if not new pistons rods and possibly another block so, not much of a choice.... Pick wisely Grass hopper
