piston to valve clearance
how much duration and lift have guys used with a diamond flat top piston and tfs steet head without having a clearance problem? i know theres a lot of varables but just wondering if someone has used something in the 280s with .825 lift are so with no problems. thanks

Depends on the depth you specified for the relief and where the cam is installed.

did some homework. cam grinder said cam will be .300 with a 1.73 rocker and advanced a degree more than im going to install it. but to add .025 for insurance so .325 minus the valve drop of .068 = .257 + .100 for psion to valve clearance =.357 minus .040 for head gasket = .317 so a .320 pocket shoud be plenty

I would check it at several degrees before and after split over lap in case you ever decide to advance or retard your cam later you will know it will work.
