Leaky wheel question Empty Leaky wheel question

Post  cletus66 April 17th 2012, 7:45 pm

My old school Center Lines are leaking out of the lug nut holes. They are 2 piece wheels with a bead of goo around the parting line. What would y'all recommend to reseal 'em up? I had a buddy buff 'em out too. They used to be satin. Very Happy

Clean all the old goo out of the crack and take some GE clear silocone in the tube the one you use around shower doors in the bathroom and put in a caulking gun and force it into the crack where the wheels go together on the inside. Then come back with your fingure and whip the excess off and smoothing it out.We did that on one on a guy at work wheel back years ago and worked good and the wheel balanced out good.Just make sure you don't leave a lot of gloobs in the wheel or it might not balance out right.

Thanks guys. Before he started polishing, the wheels appeared to be the same color as my concrete floor. Laughing
