Father versus Son Video-Another one added
Raced the old man at Gateway last weekend. 300 six cylinder sounds like a swam of pissed off bumble bees. This is still the stock Ford head. He hasn't finished the LS1 head transplant. I still haven't gotten my boat into the 9's.

Very nice! It's good to see father racing against son.

Its a .030" over 300 inch Ford 6. Factory ported head, home made intake with 2 Holley 350 2 barrels, 351 W pistons, solid lifter cam. Its a pretty mild bracket motor. He's working on adapting an LS1 head to it which should flow much better. His new intake will have 3-2 barrels.

I know. That 10.02 was my new record. I'd like to run a 9 so I can say its a 9 second car but I really don't want to go to all the trouble it takes to run 9s. I don't have time to race enough to justify it. That strut front end made the car so easy to drive its starting to get boring though. I'm sure I'll need to find some more power eventually .

Hey Mike your car looks good! Looks like your car run straight as an arrow. I guess no more white knuckle driving for you. Hope to see you down at gateway sometime this year.

Hey Justin. Once I got used to the sensitivity of the rack versus the looseness of the old steering box I was fine. Gateway's newly paved surface is pretty smooth. Did you finish those headers yet? They cancelled the outlaw deal last weekend so now you have more time.

I am actually taking my car up to Clinton this Saturday for some custom headers. He said it should take a week to complete. However, I can't seem to find a chassis shop to do my alignment that's not booked up for 3 plus months.
