The new 5.0 mustangs are very impresive ! I have been helping a friend with his girlfriends car and last weekend went 8.38 1/8 mile track spinning thru stock auto with just a sct tuner and cold air intake. Thats with nitto drag radials that don't hook!

They are impressive. Mine has been 8.33@88 bone stock like Ford made it. I would love to "tune" it up, but don't want to throw away the warranty.

That's impressive David!! I got my 66 Comet to 8.24 in 1985 and it was pretty dang fast back then. It wasn't anything like it was when it came out stock though! My 91 GT's best time was 9.81 with a 2.73 gear and stock. And it seemed fast..lol..David Willingham wrote:They are impressive. Mine has been 8.33@88 bone stock like Ford made it. How much longer do you have left on your warranty??? When you had it at Huntsville, I fell in love with it! Super nice car.....

Stephanies mustang went 92 mph@ 8.38 with a 2.11 60ft 1/8 mile. @ I 40 dragway last weekend. Put a SCT tuner and cold air intake from BBR. You'll like it!

I think the powertrain is 5 yr/60K. It is 17 months old and has 8000 miles. I drove it every weekend for the first 9 months. Now it just sits here in a heated and cooled garage. I have put 800 miles on it since last October. I am very temped to fool with it, I just can't do it.

I understand I wouldn't put exhaust or a cold air intake on my 2000 f150 4x4 I bought new because of that reason.I gave it to my son a year ago and it still didn't have dual exhaust until 4 months ago and it has 240,000 miles on it now lol!
