i dont think i need the digi 7 programable box ...its nice but prob not for a 10.00 index

Any of those box will do what you want to do....but...if you are talking new, the 7AL-2 Plus is the base box now as far as I know.

I would definitely stay with one of the 7 boxes. 7al2 gives you rev limits, 7al3 gives you three step and timing control.

Power grid is not much more in price if you are looking to purchase new.

I had a MSD 7al2 on mine, recently replaced it with a 7al3 for start retard and couple other features.

Now I have to find a new home for my 7al2 as well as a 2 step and couple other odds and ends.

The 7AL-2 Plus has the 2 step.

Sorry meant a 2 step module selector.

The "Programmable 6AL-2" #6530 is all you'll ever need with that engine.
A "Blaster SS" coil #8207 or for higher RPM, (6,000 to 10,000), use the #8253 coil.

A guy needs some kind of programable deal for a 700-800-900 HP deal???

Look-up that particular ignition ... it IS simple even though SOME things in it are programmable IF you need 'em.
The "Digital 6 Plus" is pretty much the same ignition without the Programmable feature.

This is not near the same ignition, (or the price), as the former "Digital 6 Programmable".
