about to go through my c6 any opinions on teflon rings vs metal sealing rings?
trans is fully rollerized now with teflon rings but having problems with burning high gear clutches.
first time it happened I had cut one of the rings on the direct hub fixed that and tripple checked rings but still had slugish 1-2 and 2-3 shift and smoked clutches in four passes. Gona swap pos tci valve body to my old transking pro brake.

teflon is the only thing to run , fill the sealing ring groove with vaseline to keep the sealing ring in place on assemble

Thanks for the input. Frank since you have one of the fastest c-6 trans cars I have heard of, can you tell me what rear gear you are running or at least suggest a gear ratio on my car. It has a best 60' of 1.29 foot brake, 9.20 1/4 at 152mph, 5400 9.5 inch spragless convertor by Paul Yerger, 33x15x15 MT slicks, stock low gear, 4.11 rear gear. I shift the car at 6500, go through at 6900. I will be transbraking the car when it goes back out. The car weighs 2900lbs + or -

Buzz were running a 3.89 rear gear with a 7.60's @ 187mph
