Ok, question for you drag racers. I am slooooowly working on turning a 95 F150 into a Pro/street drag truck. The motor will be a 514 on either E85 or gas (still haven't decided yet) and will have it in the 650hp area (natural). Starting out, I am guestimating that I can get the weight down to 36-3800 lbs. and will have a Coan prepped C6 with reverse manual vb going to an 8.8 rear with 3.73 posi that will be 4 linked. Question is what ET will this combo be capable of? Tires will be 31's but I am not yet sure what width I should go with. I can put an 18" OAW tire in without modifying the frame.

Just trying to get an ball park idea, so I know what safety equipment I'll need to install. Also a recommendation on tire size would be appreciated.

I would venture to guess you should be running low 7'ish range in the 1/8 mile. I'll also go out on a limb here and guess you'll be able to get that truck WWAAAAY below 3600#... Cool Wink

I haven't weighd it stock yet, so I don't know where I'm starting from. I had a 96 f150 4x4 std cab long bed dual tanks and it weight in around 4200lbs with a 302. I would think that a 2wd short bed would be 2-300lbs less.
If it's like my pulling truck, I should be able to get 400lbs out of the bed and another 125 out of bumpers, then along with other weight saving measures, like the hood and fenders and maybe fiberglass doors if they are reasonable.
