I cant believe how well this stupid thing is starting to work!
For big ol heavy truck it sure is gettin it done! We ran a best today of a 9.28@144.57mph through the mufflers on a MT 275 pro driving it to and from the racetrack w. all the tools, cooler, bbq ect in the back. Had a great day and thing we got a pretty firm handle on a base line setup we can fine tune from. Very happy .w the results.
Heres the last pass of the day w. the best 60ft the truck has ever gotten. 1.36

I would have to say that is a very nice build on pump gas for sure. Congrats. I bet it's a joy to race at the track and drive it on the street a pro street.

Went out to street legal night to make a few runs agains my buddies. The ol ford is sure alot of fun! Heres my best run against my buddy Ryan Who Won the overall title a HotRods Drag weekend in Phoenix earlier this spring running. His car has run low 9s. The track sucked from all the street tires so i had to delay the nitrous twice as much as i normally do and the 60ft time really showed it. Either way...the ol ford looks like its got the numbers to go 9.0s in street trim if i can get it back into the mid 1.30s in 60.

Cool deal. Nice to see you out having fun with it.
(That chebby is set up darn near perfectly, runs spectacular for the sum of its parts. It even has a hydraulic roller.)

Ryan's car has run 8's in street legal trim. I did the heads and intake and set up the valve train for that engine. Straub did the cam and yes, it's a hyd. roller. Ryan and dad Mike run a first class operation.windsor wrote:Cool deal. Nice to see you out having fun with it.

Old Ford truck is awwesome! I've had a few 68's and early 70's F100's. My favorite truck.

Thanks Scott!
Yes...Ryan and Mike really know their stuff. The Camaro is a VERY well sorted out car that runs FANTASTIC! Great guys too! My truck has a Straub cam in it and my buddy Brent Lamb did the heads and assembly. I think you know him

The race track isnt forgiving and doesnt give up et easily. Yesterday I achieved another goal while checking an 8sec lap off my bucket list! Cant wait to put this thing on a progressive instead of my simple digiset timer

Nice!
How are you liking that oil pump setup for the street nature of the truck?
Same question for the timing belt drive also?

Honestly....both have been soo trouble free that i have nothing really to say about it, good or bad! This whole combo has really suprised me w how low maintenance its been! I run the valves a few times though out the season and change the oil is about it. (of course theres the sparkplugs and related adj thats comes w. the nitrous) But seriously.....this thing has exceeded every one of my expectations for performance, reliability and drivability!

I like it! Will build something similar with similar goals, in a lighter car and alum block! Also appreciate your updates!
