2002 7.3 powerstroke what engine oil are you guys using also looking into...

What kind of tuner or chip can you put on a 6.0 ? I am just looking for better fuel mileage towing or not towing. I have enough power.

I've used the SCT with good results, it has a lot of programming options for the engine and the trans , if you ever do an egr delete you will need one of these as well to deal with the cel..

What kind of oil change intervals have you guys been using?

I go 3-5K depending on how the oil looks. I do a lot of mixed hwy and city/hwy driving so mileage varies between changes. I don't push it past 5K though. Rotella or Motorcraft oil with Motorcraft filters.

every 6 months or 3k, I went 3250 on this last one but it had a 1400 mile round trip on it lol.

Really ! I go 4500 to 5500 miles using motorcraft or valvoline with a wix or motorcraft oilfilter and on my gas burners 3500 to 4000 with the same brand of oil and oil filters . last 7.3 I did the same way had 254,000 on it when I sold it and has 300,000 and the current owner does it the same way.

When I was at UPS we went every 7000 miles on diesels in the package cars and 4000 on gas burners using 10/40 quakerstate in all of them. One engine failer in two years and it was a 4.3 due to leaking intake gaskets and overheating ! Just my two cents
