Rod bolts
I don't have the original stretch specs from the rod bolts, the short block was assembled when I got it. They are h beam eagle rods with the chevy dia ends. arp 2000 bolts. what should I torque them to?

Re: Rod bolts
Larry,
I already left the shop where our torque and bolt stretch specs are....but a quick Google search netted the following link to the Eagle web site...tech help
http://www.eaglerod.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=24&Itemid=25
The torque depends on the bolt length....If they are 7/16" ARP 2000 bolts 1.6 or 1.8 long they torque to 75 ft/lb.
I prefer the stretch method, but those specs are back at the shop...
Hope this helps.

Just double check...I believe your rods should have 7/16" diameter bolts. The 43 ft/lb number is for 3/8"
Typically the small block applications use them. Just check the bolt diameter. They both take a 7/16 socket...
Thanks,
Keith

Oh!!
Ok...that makes sense. I just assumed a BBF!
Happy torquing.
