No 390s had steel cranks only FE that had one was the 427s, and some of them were even cast.

If that 390 is a 391 it should be steel. I don't think there is a huge demand, however there could be someone

duff two things that get my attention! Does the crankshaft have the engineering number D9TE? If so I doubt it is a FE variety and if in fact it is a FE crankshaft from a 391, yes it has value. Contact the FE boys.

The 391 crank in a 427 make it about 396. and yes its steel.

i had a D9TE crank out of a grain truck that was forged steel..sold it awhile ago.. this "391" is in my friends 1963???? grain truck.
they are upgrading so its in running condition.. i need to get out there and snag some numbers and shoot a few pics

I'm gonna take a stab at it, and if it's that old, it's a plain ole 390 not a 391. I've never seen the 391's until in the 70's. Cool That is better for you, because the 390's are usable in a wide range of vehicles, and share parts with trucks/cars.
