Chuck just wrecked his car not ten minutes ago on the bigend.
Someone saw water on the start. they tried to get the starters atten, but no avail.
Kim could see chuck sitting up on the gurney but thats all I got for now.Will post again asap.

Just talked to Dan,and Chuck is at the Hospital as I write this. Let's all say a prayer for our Big friend.
Chuck went across the other lane and hit the wall head on at the finish line at 130 mph. Dan said the front tire is under the oil pan. And Dan blew the engine in Tweety,don't know what happened yet.

just talked to Damon and Chuck is in the hospitol and flirting with the nurses. More worried about his car than himself, send out the Prayer list..... He is one of the good guy's and a great friend....

Loaded chucks car with a back hoe, dosent sound good, Damn. As I was talkin to Kim the jet car was going by on the wrecker hook!!! LMFAO!!

Just talked to The Coug a little bit ago. Lets all make sure Chuck is ok first,then do what ever we can to get him goin again.(NO MATTER WHAT). Chuck is one of the nicest and best brothers you could ever meet. God speed buddy

UPDATE
Damon just called and said they are back at the track and Chuck is OK, but complaining w/his back alittle. He was very lucky and GOD must have been riding w/him. Hey Chuck, take it easy man don't hurt him. I need him to ride w/me also Glad your OK big Guy

Update, I just talked to Damon, he said that Chuck is okay and back at the track. Chuck hollared at me over the phone. The wreck occurred at about 1000' and it appears the car is totaled, but the driveline is okay.

Dan Hobbs has #3 piston and rod in the oil pan. The block is broke and some damage to the heads and etc.

Randy Moore and Robbie Keugel (small block Ford dragster from Windy Hollow) both got beat in round 2 of Bracket 1 in todays show, but will start anew in tomorrow's show.

Larry Conolty bought Phillip's 2008 American Racecars dragster and put his C-460 headed 632 in it. FIRST time out in competition,,,,, with only 28* timing and a soft tune-up, and he ran 4.61, 4.61, and 4.58 breaking out in the third round. He'll go again tomorrow. Larry is a big guy (ex football player) and the car with him weighs 2090 lbs. and that's with an alum. block!

Glad Chuck is o.k., kinda put a damper on my spirits, I was real happy until I read this, If I can help let me know.

Just got back to the hotel and thought I would give an update.

Chuck is alright but he is going to be super stiff in the morning that's for sure. His car is trashed, the front left corner is against the motor but it the motor looks ok. He was doing 86 mph when he went through the traps. I'll try and post a video if I can find some software to convert my VOB files to WMA. I normally do that on my home computer and all I have here is my work laptop.


Dan lost the #5 cyl. It looks like he spun a bearing then the rod and piston let go. He fished them out of the pan once they had it all apart. There was piston pieces in #3 & 4 with a chunk stuck on the #4 valve.

Hey Harold, I'm off Wed and Thur if you want to get together, let me know ahead of time and I will call my machinist and make sure he's there.

I just watched the video on the laptop and you can see the water puking out everywhere right before he took off. The people behind us were yelling and waving trying to get the starters attention but it was just too dark and noisy.

Iwill be there Rick, will let you know which day, car really liked them 430 gears.

Was there any signs of water leaking on Chucks car Friday,the only reason i ask is the picture of Chucks car going thru the lights it looks like there's smoke behind it.
