Re: KY jelly @ NMRA
He had a small oil leak they were battling and it seemed to be getting worse (they figured from the rear of the pan gasket). I am guessing that is what is happening in the pictures. Dan actually made up some stickers to poke fun of the issue. They are on my other camera which I can't find right now. It was leaking water after the burnout and if there were more people on the starting line that pass would have never been made.

Was there any signs of water leaking on Chucks car Friday, the only reason i ask is the picture of Chucks car going thru the lights it looks like there's smoke behind it.

Glad Chuck is ok.
I know yall wont know the extent of the damage until you look it over good, but does it look ok from the firewall back?
Sorry about the motor Dan-O........

Re: KY jelly @ NMRA
Well, now that we know that Chuck's OK, we need to get up a petition to rope off the "Bermuda Triangle" section of the Beech Bend pits....and make sure no one ever uses that cursed area again....except, maybe at a Super Chevy show. Damon was the only one who seemed to escape the wrath of the racing gods. Here's hoping his luck holds out 'til he's home.
While we pretty much stayed under Chuck's car with the oil pan leak, KY found his left side slick was losing air. The leak was elusive, but he eventually found it, then won a long debate with himself.....Air it up and run it?.......Patch it?........Plug it?........Nope.....Pop on a new set of MT's. I really wanted to stick around and see how the KYstang ran with the new tires. Different rollout, different sidewall, new compound....I sure hope that works out well or you, Randy. Chuck's oil leak was much easier to find, hence the new decals on his hood scoop.
Dan-o's deal is a little more painful. He may get to keep the cam annd lifters and fix those new heads.....They're sorta torn up. BTW, he wanted me to ask about the warranty on his heads . His deal is pretty much a sexual deviation of the wallet, so he's searching through his paperwork trying to find his TFS Cylinder Head Warranty Registration Card. He says it shouldn't be too hard to find as he only paid for 'em two days ago. Dan-o, I'm sorry about how that worked out for you. Last night, tearing the 'Bird down and finding all that junk, I felt like I was helping you bury your dog. Better days are coming, man, along with a 557. Jon, Dan-o wanted you to know that his ProComp stuff survived the carnage.....He knew you'd be worried.
Chuck, you car looks like a perfect candidate for a front clip with struts One of them cute 'glass noses would would complete the deal, as I doubt you'll be able to "Buff" this one out.
That's all for now, guys.....Keep me updated, as I'm holed up in a hotel room in Savannah with my computer. Guess I'll take a long awaited nap.

Update: Damon has gone 2 rounds this morning, taking out a little timing to slow the car a little. Sounds like he's a tree surgeon today, winning at the starting line. He's down to 8 cars, next round will be late this afternoon.

He broke out at 8 cars Rick...I think he was almost relieved to get done for the weekend without any mishaps. I hope they all get home safe! Glad you and Becca made it home Randy. Thanks for your help Randy and Maverick.
