the article doesnt really refer to what i was talking about , just something i read while trying to find the answer , and there was no info about it. using 800-1000 hp worth of nitrous , what kind of cam are these guys using , or is it top secret stuff ? and what is the limit on a 4.600 bore as far as pumping the juice ?

Re: nitrous cam ?
Typical the heads used for real NO2 engines are done different than N/A..... If that means anything, But I'm not up on the cam tech used for "Big Boy Hits" But it does make sence using a bigger exhaust lobe and spreading out the LS

Re: nitrous cam ?
That article is about using the correct camshaft for taking advantage of nitrous with a relatively mild street engine.
If you KNOW a particular race engine is going to be used with nitrous ALL THE TIME then you can take advantage of a special NITROUS grind.
A few degrees of extra intake duration, a few more degrees of extra exhaust duration and a wider lobe separation than what would normally be used in that combination NA, would be better utilized when using nitrous.
REMEMBER, nitrous is a TORQUE maker.

^^^this.........the cam profile has everything to do with it but your heads can be a very big plus for "man shots".dfree383 wrote:Typical the heads used for real NO2 engines are done different than N/A.....
