Motor/Midplate- cost
What is a fair price to install a front motor plate and mid plate in Fox boday Mustang? Trying to get a idea of what kind of money I am looking at spending here.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thats a pretty loaded question.
Is the car stripped down already? Do you have a block, oil pan and trans to mock eveything up?

And are you asking what it costs to pay someone else to do it or what it will cost for parts/material for you to do it?

The car is stripped down. I already have the front and mid plate. I dont not have a mock up block or tranny. I am looking for the cost of setting it up and welding the stuff in.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Motor/Midplate- cost
The setup will take longer than the actual welding itself. Welding will take about 10 or 20 minutes, setup could take a few hours or more, depending on where you want the engine located. Where are you located? Someone on here can probably steer you to a shop that is close and have reasonable rates.

The big cost is in the alignment and proper phasing.
You need a block and parts to do this properly.
The welding is peanuts.

I think Mike gets 75 and hour...... you need the block, heads, headers, tranny etc. And depends on how its mounted....... I know Mike puts tubing behind the firewall to mount the plate at the top as well..... I did both mine this way and its time consuming, so really its gonna be hard to give you a number.
Gonna depend a lot on the guy the does it and how he goes about it.
