I had a victor jr headed 302 that was 12.5 cr that had over 500 passes on it when I sold the car and never had any problems. but then a friend has an edelbrock rpm headed 302 that split a block with 15 or 20 passes on it and he didnt make near the power. I think it is luck of the draw on the stock 302 blocks.

best thing is to have a couple spares out in the shed just in case...............
