Re: new project!
I got it all set up today and went to tnt but it all went to hell I'm too pissed to think about it! I DID do a burnout tho! It did'nt sound like it should so i shut it down, still had oil psi and all the rockers are on.i'll find it tomorrow! I cant realy bitch, first time i ever had to be pulled back to the trailer.O well......
O...any guess what it scaled? The old deal was 2350 but not near as much cage as the new one.i realy liked the ratio,51% on the nose and 1/2 a turn on the top rh 4 link bar put it on the money!

damn good guess Dave....2335 and i still have the spindle mount wheels to put on. The bad news is i found the #1 rod bearing on its way out. I'll put the little motor back in now!DILLIGASDAVE wrote:Wild guess is somewhere around 2350 again?cool40 wrote:....O...any guess what it scaled? Re: new project!
it does suck but it aint got any holes in it,lol.i started pulling it today and cuz its so easy to get to in the car i like to pull the intake and hat off together.i had a good idea what caused it so i went ahead and took the head off.the piston dome had beat on the head I had to do a lot of work on the dome to make it fit the head but just did'nt do enough i guess.i just hope the crank aint too bad.whitefield wrote:cool40 wrote:damn good guess Dave....2335 and i still have the spindle mount wheels to put on. I'd send the pan back to Charlie's and have a kickout put in it and loose some of the sump depth. With the headers exiting out the side looks like you have plenty of room for a t style or a larger pass side kickout under the starter. Looks like an easy fix. You don't need to much shortened off of it as it looks like the cross member is going to take the hit after the pan.

Re: new project!
I realy wish i had a dry $ump, lol.i had no trouble loading in the trailer so it'll be ok.the bars stay on the car all the time and it'd take a hard hit to get the pan i think

Re: new project!
I believe I would have the machine shop check the crank out good and check the rod to that is one ugly looking bearing
