The N351s take a offset rocker.
FRPP shows the Z304s as unavailable. I'll have to call Lem. We'll buy a set of heads first and build from there. I'll have to do some good research on flow numbers on the Windsor family of heads. It's been years since I fooled with a SBF, but can't wait to put one together and see what it'll do.

Re: 408/418W build... what would you build?
As you requested...410 W
There is really nothing special about this build, except it works .. Never been on a dyno.
Our rules are simple...Has to be a steel block with steel heads..
'74 model 351W block, .040" over, normal prep work..line-honed, decked, oil restrictors in cam feed holes, in the #2,3,4 & 5 mains.
Probe 4.040" x 4.000" rotating assy ( Thanks Mark !!) , 28oz inbalance. 6.200' rod, sbc rod size, 3.00" mains. coated main and rod bearings.
12 to 1 compression, with a flat top piston.
351N heads, 2.02 / 1.60 valve sizes. These were purchased used and were somebody's "Late Model" takeoffs..
The heads were ported, but I never had them flowed. They were too good a deal to pass up. Heads , valves (new) and stud girdle for $500.
Comp cam..OTS solid lifter 250*/262* @ .050" .568"/ .592" 106 Lobe sep.
Victor intake with a 750 Holley double pumper. It does have a Jomar Spacer.
I am not sure about the header pattern, as my buddy bought the headers that fit the car...
Engine analyzer says 550 / 560 horses and about the same for the torque. What makes it work is it has a BOAT load of torque from 4000 -5500 rpm. The local track is egg shaped and it really helps getting the car off of turn 2. When the track is right, the car will carry the left front from the middle of turns 1 & 2 to almost 1/2 way down the back straight.
So far this year we have 2 wins, 2 seconds and a third, in the features...

Thanks Mike. Anything special besides the offset rockers? The header bolt pattern is a fairly easy fix.

Not really.. only the intake rockers are offset..
Valve to piston clearance isn't an issue, the N heads are 10* and I've got lots of clearance even with the above cam..

Yep, i've seen flat top "N" pistons w/o any valve reliefs.

Theirs a couple different part numbers, they rearranged some things over the last few years.

I found them in the catalog. I'm goi to call Lem and get some pricing on a complete set of each and go from there. I like the N stuff though. I haven't seen a set of them around here yet.

Problem With the n stuff is they are iron, if you don't have rules requiring it, it adds a bunch of weight. I'm also not sure your going to find any shelf headers for the n heads to fit a mustang chassis.
