Opinions needed
Some of you know that my ranger was in a crash last month
The estaments are about 25k do I fix it
not including the engine
Or do I buy my friends99 4 link dragster for 17k turn key
The ranger is one of the pro stock trucks from 97 built buy JHRC
This decision is killing me

It's your choice Rick,which would be more challenging and fun too drive. For me the choice would be easy. DA Truck. Seen one dragster you have seen them all imo. but,thats just me.

The question is can you afford not to fix the truck after factoring in what was already invested in it to begin with. It might in effect cost too much to just walk away from a Haas built race car & junk it.

Part the truck out, Buy the dragster.

How bad is it ? I can and am willing to fix the chassis cheaper than that if the whole thing has to be replaced, unless you got to replace santuff or lamb high dollar strutts and shocks i could do a chassis for 12 - 15k neighborhood .

You seriously should consider letting Randy Moore fix it. He built his car and it is Top Notch!

See if you can make a few hits in a dragster. It may be boring to you then it is easy to make the choice. Me I would fix the truck.

Fix the truck.....or buy a newer dragster.

DO NOT buy a 1999 model dragster. Once a dragster gets 10+ yrs old it's worth very little.

Fix the truck.......then put dragsters on the trailer LOL.

Rick, is your engine damaged?

yes lem the block is trash ,, couple of rods , pistons, few valves,, oil pan misc, other parts

I quess I missed it...so, did the engine blow and cause the crash?

yes ,, the motor let go at the top end ,, through it in nuteral and off the gas ,, then ,,,, KABOOM ,, All hell broke loose,,,left lane bad air ,, 7.94,, shot across the track ,, hit the right wall ,,up in the air,, flipped 4 times then slid aprox, 500 ft on the roof with the chute out

A bad deal for sure.

Rick fix the truck it is a good feeling when you out run them chevy S10s they just not that many rangers on the track but as you know I am a ranger guy too but do what fits your buget and have fun

rick was without power for a few days ,, nothing on my end ,, but 3/4 or jersey is total freckin mess,, that little girl raised all kinds of hell up north ,, was a mess

rick sent pic of the truck to jerry haasrace cars for a price to fix it,,,$45,000-$50,00 to fix the chassis and re-body it. a new one is aprox,$108,000and thats not including a new motor!!!!
