Opinions needed ASAP!

I posted a couple days ago about the race I want to put on over Labor Day Weekend. Here's my question. I've recieved a couple phone calls suggesting instead of running a Quick 8 and the 3 bracket classes that maybe I should just do a single class Big Buck Shootout type of race. The total payout will still be the same, but the pay out will look like this. 1st: $2000.00 2nd: $1200.00 3rd: $500.00 & 4th: $300.00

Which way do you guys think would be the best way to go, both for the race itsself, and to draw a good car count?

Round here they do a footbrake and a full electronics class.

I would almost think that it depends on what kind of racers are more likely to show up. If your main crowd likes the separate classes go that way. Give the participants what they want IMO.

That's going to be a hell of a payout, worth the drive, if you live with-in 500 miles., you will need a lot of cars, or a big entry fee.

I know. I have alot of potential sponsors that are donating to the cause as well as the entry fees. I even talked to my bank, and they're even gonna help out what they can this year. They said if I hit them up before they put in their budget for next year, they'd be interested in the possibility of sponsoring the whole event. The people I'm hitting up for track sponsorships are very eager to help all they can to get things going here. I'm also hitting them hard with the concept of helping to keep kids from racing on the streets. That, and the fact that I'm donating everything after the bills are paid to the local High Schools and their auto shop programs.

Don't forget, gooooood insurance, and have a lawyer help you write the waver, make sure every racer, fan, and anyone else entering the gate signs it.
