I know you have to report the injury to your supervisor as soon as it happened.

Re: WORKER COMP?
I have dealt with workman's comp a few times it can be a bit daunting, they assume everyone is lying so you will be asked the same questions over and over again. Just be honest with them, if they have doubts they can investigate your claim and hold payment until the investigation is over. Usually you will get a call from the person handling your claim and will have to answer questions. Follow ALL the doctors orders to the letter because they will sometimes have someone follow you round to watch you.

I know in NY state you have 10 days to get a form to comp board. I believe its different for every state. YOu should be able to find your answers on the web for your state.

yes but it will be after they get you fixed up but they should be paying you while you are off work but make sure they have your problem fixed before you take a settlement because when you sign for their settlement you are on your own the settlement releases them from any future problem from it plus if you reinjure it they want pay.one of our maintenance men here messed his back up and when the DR released him to come back to work and now he still having pronlems ffrom it and can't get them to do anything about it he is on his own now with it.

I deal with this with my job as a supervisor. The workers comp insurance program is not an easy program to deal with. also it is hard to find a doctor who accepts workers comp insurance.

Go to your state Workers Compensation website, they should have some information.
In Kentucky we have ombudsmen, who can help you with the system.

Re: WORKER COMP?
I feel for you Ace! My right knee started having issues back in the spring. I had knee surgery the 10th of october. I opted to just take care of it myself and not fight the system. In my case I'm guessing it happened at work but can't pinpoint one event that caused the injury. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.
