Non Unions .. ?
Brown nosers or shop do nothings ...
I don't care ... I just want my "free stuff".

I'm a retired Union Ironworker and taught apprentice school for 3 years before I retired. In the labor unions a person who is specialized in one particular trade will do a lot better job than one who does it all. I was a bridge foreman for about 20 years and have straightened out quite a few non-union screw ups to know the difference in quality workmanship.

That reminds me of a Joke I once got told.
This little lady was in the solon getting here hair done. As one of the other ladies asked her what made her stay with Johnny so long ? since she had been married three times before. This was here explanation Ralph was the preacher and a nice guy and she said all he wanted to do was preach about it , Bob was a polaticain and all he wanted to do is talk about what he was going to do about it, Fred was a photographer and all he wanted to do was take pictures of it ,but Johnny well she explained while blushing Johnny is a Mechanic , and he tore it up the first night and been working on it ever since!

Tired of seeing the Union BS played. We only make up 10-11% of the US workforce and somehow we have drug the country into the state its in? Kind of funny when the other 89-90% can take no blame for anything its always our fault.........
Heres an idea ......
#1 eliminate the income tax all together ......then we ALL are on an equal playing field right down to the illegal immigrants.
#2 Jack the sales tax up on everything........then all the illegals, drug dealers, welfare recipients, are forced to pay thier fare share just like everyone else .............they gotta eat, buy gas, and supplies just like you and me. Again EVERYONE would be on a level playing field no matter who made what.
Let me in there for a few weeks and I could make some headlines.

What kills me is why blue collar workers fight about union/ non union workers. Big companies love this turmoil. I never put down anyone with a job, especially blue collar workers. I don't give a shit if you have a job sitting on your ass all day, at least your employed and not stealing from me while i'm at work. My father in law was bitching about the UAW should work for less money so cars would be cheaper, I ask him if he could drive his Wal Mart truck for less so we could save money. Blaming the unions for the condition this country is in, is like blaming the store clerk for gas prices. I'm a non union lineman, but have no problem with Union lineman.

Re: locked threads....
I have said this before and will say it til I die if need be; ALL politicians should be paid based on the per average capita income of the area's they represent, and must work for 1 year to get 1 week of vacation... also to avoid politicians from ally just trying to move to the highest paid areas they should be required to reside in the area they represent for 5 to 10 years to be eligible to represent that area.
These guys work for us, we pay their salary so lets start making them earn it! I believe if we went to this system economies would improve because the only way the politians would get a raise is to improve everyone they represents lives!

I will piss alot of people off with this comment but I think the stock market crashing and US defaulting could be a good thing. Lets start over and rebuild from the ground up, the value of the dollar will skyrocket within our country almost over night... Will lose value to foriegn countries but what does any country have that we cannot harvest or build here we will have to become selfreliant again but we need that!
When that happens, there will be about 100,000,000 lives lost in the U.S.A. Yes, ONE HUNDRED MILLION DEATHS. That's what happens when you have civil war in a country this size.
On unions, private unions are one thing. Public unions should be outlawed.
