I guess Jones was no dice?
See if you can find one that is the correct OD, but wrong in the middle.
We can make one....

Re: Flat 4 bolt crank pulley
I have taken a chevy 3 bolt pulley and re-drilled it in a 4 bolt pattern before..

Looking like that's what it is going to be. FE 3 bolt and machine to 4 bolt I guess...

This has to be a common need. I can't believe no one makes it. Might be a good addition to your product line.

If it goes on the front of the crank trigger wheel, I make a little center register to snap in to the recessed hole in the wheel.
Re: Flat 4 bolt crank pulley
What about drilling out the spotwelds on a later model pulley & pulling the stack apart? Isn't the pulley on the back of the stack a flat one on some years?

Re: Flat 4 bolt crank pulley
For those that run into this, I had NO luck finding someone who stocks a flat 4 bolt BBF pulley. In the end I bought a flat BBC pulley and had the hub bored and holes drilled to the BBF 4 bolt pattern thanks to Keith Fulp of KFM Motorsports. I also used one of Keith's 1/4" crank pulley spacers to align with the location I mounted the alternator. This will also allow for future installation of a crank trigger wheel if I decide to do so...

Re: Flat 4 bolt crank pulley
I don't know . That pulley looks an awful lot like a KFM Flying Toilet restrictor plate to me.
Glad it fit...always happy to help.
Thanks
Keith

Not to be a pooper of parties, but I've been there and done that.
Used a chevy flat pully about 4.5" across, to a stock alternator pully. On the dyno run with the first hard pull to about 9000 RPM, the belts shot off and with the gimler belt driving the fuel pump, off, of course the engine shut down. Walked into the dyno room, and had this high pitched whinning sound, looking around, couldn't figure out for the life of me what the F was whinning, till I saw the alternator still spooling down.
With the multiplication of the larger crank pully and the small alternator pully as used on street oriented cars not intended to see above about 3500 RPM, we figure we got the old alternator up around 20,000 RPM.... don't think I'de ever need that much alternator output.
If your engine is going to see any RPM. id suggest at most, a pully ratio 1-1 but most likly want to get that crank pully way smaller, and that alternator pully way larger to start an RPM reduction.

I ended up making one, put the spacer for the gimler drive right into the pully.
