A mid 90's-late model dodge pickup truck master cylinder is a good swap. Aluminum housing and plastic reservoir.

Agreed. Dodge master cylinder. Drill a new hole in pedal. Use instructions from aerospace or strange for proper distance.

Or buy a manual swap kit from any racecar place that deals mustangs. Team z, skinny kid, etc...

I heard the skinny kid kit.wasn't.good.? The pedal.ratio? .
on.my other fox I.had a.manual kit..didn't.mess.with the pedal.ratio ..but come.with rod thay was supposed to compensate for it.

With the.Dodge MC do I need.a alum plate.or.it.mounts to the org.booster.hoes. .and what about lines on the Dodge metric? Or.the same.size.lines. what model and year Dodge BTW thanks

The strange kit looks like a dodge master cylinder anyway. Piss on that stuff. It puts your lines toward the inner strut tower area. I just use a upr aluminum plate with a 79 model manual brake master cylinder from a fox. Simple, easy, works great and under $100.

X2, I always use the KISS theory (Keep It Simple Stupid!)! I picked up a manual brake pedal off of ebay, because it was simpler than modifying my old pedal.

Rich, is this the old square iron type?

I'm in need of a MC that is smaller than a Mopar type. Know of one? Are the aluminum ones on the Mustangs smaller?

NO its an alum unit, lines come out on left side toward drivers side fender, shorter then the mopar and not as long . same size as a stock fox body.Works great.

Good info....The valve covers on the Torino are too close to the master cylinder. If that MC is smaller and will work on a disc/drum combo I'll order one!

Oh yeah haven't posted same thing happened to me ended going to Advance and picking one up for 18.99. It's a different part number I can get it for you tomorrow if you want. Atleast the guy at the Advance couunter had enough sense to notice that the other part number was discontinued.

The Advance part number is 10-1931. It is aluminum but not the style with the plastic reservoir and comes with the pushrod. Core was $10.

What does it look like, I don't think I've ever seen an aluminum one that doesn't have a plastic reservoir. Pictures? Is this for disc/drum or disc/disc?
