manual master cylinder for 2002 mustang
ok pretty sure my master is making my front brakes not bleed of the pressure on the car.....locks up after like 5 pumps to a point i cant even move the car...had to drive 5 blocks with them on and fried a set of pads and caliper, replaced both caiper and pads....problem still there, so i am assuming it is the master since both brakes have the same problem at the same time....and i doubt both brake hose collasped at the same time .....
what is the best master from a local parts store like advance auto would be my best bet to pick up tonight.....
i dotn wanna redo the lines so a master with line towards the engine is prefered
either post or call me 4843189865

problem still there....fixed the bent cclip that was holding the master pushed in almost 3/8 of a inch....thought that had to be the problem....
anyone have any ideas what may be causing the fronts to stay engaged, and not release.....

pump it up till there locked up again, crack the front brake line loose at the master, if wheels are still locked up you need to look down stream (proportioning valve), if it frees them up when you crack it replace the master cylinder.
btw , are you sure the pedal rod is not puttin pressure on the master, if you had it adjusted a hair too long could caus same problem

Make sure that rod is not pushing the MC still. You should be able to feel some play in the pedal if it is loose enough. Is the factory prop valve still on there? Did you ditch the ABS pump?

Do you have a proportioning valve ?? Aftermarket or original?? Had a Wilwood go bad and do the exact same thing. Won't release until you crack the bleeder on one side.
