My 64 Fairlane project !
I have some questions about my 64 fairlane suspension ,but don't want to 4 link or ladder bar the rear. I also don't want to do major changes to the front suspension. like cut it out and replace every thing . Want to improve on what I have.
It has 466 cast Iron head with c-4 trans car guestimated weight is 3400 to 3600lbs
The car has 15X10 rear wheels 28 11.50 15 ET streets 4.11 gear 5 leaf springs caltracs competition engineering rear shocks 3 way adjustable.
The front is stock style mustang II with 2 coils cut off 4cyl springs competition engineering 3 way adjustable shocks 15x5 front wheels.
What length front spring and spring rate do you guy's recomend
I am open to changing shocks springs front spindles and lower control arms.
Or what you recomend with in reason of my wallett ! Thanks

Know your vehicles corner weights and front to rear percentages and buy a set of Santuff custom made springs for the front and rear. I use Ron at -------- http://www.rhodescustomauto.com/ ------- for my stuff, but thier may be a dealer on here. Knowing your on a budget I would venture to say that it would be a great starting point for your project. They wont break the bank also. Next would be a good shock package for the front and rear as I see you already have the CalTrac system on the rear. The comp engineering adjustables definatley need to go but be for warned a shock package is going to cost a little money but will be well worth the reward. Afco, Santuff, and Strange all make nice shocks. JMO

I've never really messed with the mustang 2 front stuff, but I would go with a set of calvert's split monoleafs on the rear. If the car is always going to be on a slick/et street a rancho or Calvert 9 position single adjustable will be fine for the rear.
