I have an iron headed 528 at 13.7. I ran vp113 last season. It may have been fine but I'm going to Q16 this season.

I wasn't for sure what to run as all of my other engines have been pump gas or no more than 11.5:1 motors . In those I always ran 93 110 or a mix of 93 and 110.
Thanks

Blake ran av gas in a iron headed 514 for 12 years. Should work fine for you.

Re: What octane fuel to run?
use C12 or is you want a little more kick use the 113
if you can get it the Renegade 110+ is good stuff and a lot cheaper than VP. As soon as I burn all this VP NO2 I got I will switch over to the Renegade ............dang near 200 bucks cheaper per drum than VP

Re: What octane fuel to run?
You need only run enough octane to keep the engine out of detonation. 110 should be enough for what your doing.
I have had several engines on the dyno that were 93 octane friendly and lost power with 110 or av gas. But 93 pump gas has more oxygen content.

Re: What octane fuel to run?
I have the one engine back together and wound up going with 112 renegade . The engine seems to idle and throttle better on the 112 than it did on Sunoco 110.

Re: What octane fuel to run?
We sell a lot of what VP calls Roundtrack. It is basically all the fuel left in the hose when filling barrels that gets dumped into a large tank, blended, and guaranteed to be a minimum of 107 but most of the time they say it's well over that. It has all their fuels blended in it but we don't see any inconsistency in tuning.
I sell it for $425 a barrel or $8.50 per gallon to the local circle track boys.
