Went out side and got the rings[Akerly&childs] lem sent me and looking at the instructions this is what it says for nitrous oxide top ring-add .0008 per inch of bore for each 100 hp of nitrous used.Do i need pistons to or just learn how do the math that the rings recommend?

.024" should work for the top ring if you only got a 200 shot.

Im lost as always lol the instructions says ADD .0008 to top ring and .0007 to second ring for each 100 hp of nitrous used.So if im going shot 250 nitrous and the bores 4.420 how do in do the math. The paper came with piston says for drag race-power adder with 2618 material .001-.002 more.

I know when I filed my rings the pistons called for one thing and the rings for another my pistons called for more gap on the rings than the sheet that came with the rings. So I went with what KB said on the pistons which was .002 more than what the rings called for.I have herd the KB needs more gap to keep from top ring lad from braking.

Those numbers are multiplied by the bore size in inches.
A 4.420" bore would add .0008" times 4.42" for an additional .0035" per for every 100 horsepower of nitrous so, .0035" x 2.5 = .00875", would be the ADDITIONAL gap added on the top ring for a 250 shot of nitrous.

Do the same multiplications for the second ring but, using .0007" per inch of bore instead.
