New on the block :)
Hey guys I've been reading up some an you all seam like an awesome bunch of guys I am picking up a BBF 460 bloc an stand for $150 as my vary first build a would vary much apresheate all the help I can get , I am vary mechanically inclined but I have never built a motor from the block up , an with all the difrent parts an sizes is just crazy , my end gole is around 500 reliable horsepower with the pants creeping sound of a chugging big block thanks guys

500 ? Pull two plug wires off.! ...These guys r makin a bunch of power ..I'm sure you can meet ur goal.

Well I plane on putting the motor in a daily driver so Dont really need 900hp to get to work lol

Just the block that's wear I'm lost cause I'm Sher the size of the valve an spring ext have to match up for every thing to work in sync

I would suggest u locate a complete engine...That will save u time and money tryin to track down a ton of parts.

OK. What i meant was when u tear it down and get ready to build it you will have all the bolts , the right crank and flex plate etc....

Flex plate ? An can't you buy a bolt kit for They's engines

AKA the flywheel.....You can buy anything u want to buy for it. If its ur first build it'll be much easier if u already have the bolts and everything right there in a box.

Oh ok I was just thinking it would be Easier to by a new bolt kit an all the other parts starting fresh so I know everything is in 100% shape

Thanks Bruno an yea about the bolts an stuff I just thought it would be easy cause they would all be labeled as to wear they go

Or bag em up as u take the engine apart and label each bag yourself!
