Bracket racing
They had a $5000 bracket race at I 22 this weekend.I decided in.My buddy Jonathon Hall drives the bracket car. They make a good combo most of the time. The car ran five 6.31's in a row.Went ot 4th round with a sleepy reaction time.It had cooled off about 20 deg before the last run.It went a 6.28 on a .29 dial.
I've been trying to make up my mind to keep or seel this car when I get the 98 up and running. It is the easiest car to run I've had.It runs on walmart pump gas you add gas every 4th round and keep the air pressure on 10 1/2 lbs. and that is it.No charging no cooling and it will ronud robin at least 4 rounds. That is what we had to do at the NMRA finals last fall.

I like that ol car man. Keep her, she don't cost too much to race and might even make you a little money.

Ward, those cars are the most fun of all. I don't have as much time to race anymore and the certifications, physicals, etc. are a real pita. The maverick I had just ran 9.90's and 10.0's and like you said, never had to raise hood between rounds. It was a lot less hassle for sure. keep it.

Prob. will keep it we have alot of fun with it,but it expensive to have two cars.Wyatt is a senior and starts at Alabama this fall. That may help me decide.
I thing it is a cool old car.You don't soo many at the track any more.

Re: Bracket racing
Keep it Ward. If you get rid of it you will spend the next 20 years saying I wish I hadn't sold that car!
Re: Bracket racing
You should keep it Ward.
The fun cars are keepers.
This coming from a guy who has a hard time getting rid of stuff. (see sig. below) LOL
