Along with your spring installed spring height ... What is the valve material and what RPM level do you expect to achieve?.
The aggressiveness of the camshaft lobe profiles is important, also.

What does the cam manufacturer/grinder recommend?

comp told me to use 947-16 springs...
they said the cam calls for 250 seat pressure and 600 pressure open at .700 lift.
