Re: HELP WITH SHIFT KITS
What are you looking to use it for ? For a tough streeter with auto shifts in "D" the Transgo 67-2 is the go

Re: HELP WITH SHIFT KITS
going to be drag strip only, thought about going manual, the trans has been rebuilt it is a fred jones from ford, but not sure on the miles it came out of one of the city's trucks they wrecked, it will have between 2500 to 3000 stall going to pull pan and see what it looks like on the inside fuild was good and red in it.but if it don't look good on the inside will buy a rebuild kit for it

Re: HELP WITH SHIFT KITS
Race only definitely go manual valvebody. Better off going a specific manual V.B than a kit.

Fancy B&M StageII Manual Automatic Vs. Trango Stage II 1/2 The Price
I Have Used Both and To Me They Perform the Same. I Don't Know the Current B&M Price but They Were 50 Bucks Almost 30 Years Ago.
The Transgo 67- 1&2 is 54 Bucks Now! I am Thrilled with Mine.

More Bucks Left Over for Other Parts is Alway's a Plus

Re: HELP WITH SHIFT KITS
Yes I know it was an old post.
I did not feel like starting a new one and ran across it.
I paid 48-49 bucks in 2020 for my Transgo. I saw them on my feed for 54 and noticed they were not going insane on prices 3 years Later.
This is the B&M I was talking about for 50 bucks almost 3 Decades ago I used.
It's Very Spendy for Doing the same thing as the Trango and is Borderline Gouging in my opinion at 125 Bucks is all.

On a More Pleasant Note, The 2,800 Stall is in, After Mucho Grief. Gonna Button it Up Tomorrow, after the Thrashing it gave us for not having our shit together, enough from the start. Some Days Just Go That way.
It's all good, Found a bad transmission Mount and a Leaking Modulator. No Biggie, Just More Rat's to Kill.
I was Shocked a DuraLast Mount was 14 Bucks at Autozone (Lifetime Warranty) and I have Plenty of Modulators.
PS: I was Glad The Flex Plate was Prepped Already For My 7/16" Studs, Even Though The Old Convertor was 3/8's" Studs
Yea The Next Mill will Get an SFI Thick Flex Plate

Drag strip use
Transgo has a full manual shift kit 67-3 I believe. It doesnt shift by itself in drive .It has harder than normal shifts than most other shift kits out there .But the transgo 67 1-2 is just fine .As others have mentioned .If interested I have a good valve body with that 67-3 shift kit in it .It is a forward pattern .If interested just pm me if interested .Doug
