Re: BIG SHOT PLATE with 300 shot
I've used 10s on a similar tune. Just be a tad conservatine with your timing.
Re: BIG SHOT PLATE with 300 shot
Id want more jet spread, iirc you were close to maxing out the noid as it was, if thats the case youll want more spread the higher you go.
I always warn the car up on a set of old plugs, if Im trying to read plugs when trying a diff tune Ill stick a fresh set in and drag it to the lanes...... start it and do a burnout.... then make the pass and click it at the stripe. I run a ngk 10

Re: BIG SHOT PLATE with 300 shot
Id maybe put a little more spread (not much) and take 1-2 more of timing out......and read the plugs from there.

X2. Go down 2 fuel sizes and take 2 degrees MORE timing OUT. I'd bet it wants 5.5lb FP...

I guess I'm looking at this too simple but why would he want to drop jet sizes and then increase fuel pressure?

Well he could go down 1 size and leave FP alone but IMO thats a big swing. Smaller (safer) swing my way IMO

I just don't see a difference but I flow plates by fuel weight per second and do the math. May not be perfect but tends to work.

Seems like there are a few ways to skin the kitty. I also noticed that Q16 was alot more sensative to little stuff on my deal. He's not using Q but I figured I'd add my thoughts...

I was out of town and missed a few day and just saw this.. That tune is likely VERY rich just based on the info posted. Also based on what you have said it sound like you have a carb issue that needs to be cured before any nitrous tuning is done properly ?? If it kills the plugs on a warm up I would look at the over rich idle conditions and work from there..
You are near maxed out on your solenoid, you have a smaller line (-4), AND POSSIBLY THE PLATE IS CLOSED TO MAXED DEPENDING ON WHAT YOUR WORKING WITH ???
If not hurting an engine is key to your program I would be careful what you do to the set up. Have you sprayed it before or are you calling this a starting point ?? Sometimes if unsure of your tunes, starting smaller is a lot safer. Not taking anything away from anyone that tries to help, but many forget when guys are firing off tunes with limited info on the set up and combo, they have really nothing to lose if it dosen't work out for the end user.. Hope this helps.. SJ

This is where having a system blueprinted and jetting mapped is worth its weight in gold..... moreso with big tunes.

i dunno what was going on , they was draging this contraption behind a tractor that had 2 big wide slicks on it that turned backwards and said they was using a different compound. my brothers car had the same problem as i did. he had a set of x275 pro radials on wheels in the trailer , put those on and then couldnt keep it off the bumper, he kept trying to get me to try them on my car but by then i was agravated and didnt worry with it
