NOS 200/250 Shot.
My question is.
I want to use a 20 fuel/24Nos jet in my Pro fogger system, would this be equivalant to a 175 or 200 shot NOS?My carb reg pressure is set st 7 PSI. and my NOS fuel reg is set at 6 PSI.
Question #2
using this combo 22fuel/26NOS would this be equivalent to what HP shot?
Here is the info on the motor i'm using.
I have a BBF it's a 466 DOVE-A Block,Windage tray,guirdle,Canton Pan,Stock Steel DOVE Head's,SCJ rod's /ARP bolt's,Arias flat top piston's,total seal ring's.
The cam is a Comp Cam Hydraulic flat tappet 305 grind duration @ .050 lift 253 intake 253 exhaust.valve lift 585 intake.585 exhaust part#34-337-4,
Vicktor manifold,1095 king demon carb,Pro shot fogger, magna fuel pro star 500 pump, magna fuel reg's,fuel log,and magna fuel return system.
This is in an 87 mustang GT, weight 2785,me in it 3050.Ladder bar,29x10.5x15 tire,I use 110 octane.
Plug type is a 14mm AR3932 auto lite plug with a .35 gap i converted the heads to a 14mm instead of the 18mm.
I use an msd 7al ignition box.
Question #3 is my spak plug gap to big?what would you recomend gap i should use at the 200-250 shot level? Also do i need to use a colder plug than the one i'm using now,if i run a 200-250 shot?
I would realy appreceate the help as i am learning using Nitrous,i have been using it a bit but at very low hp level like a 125 shot but i want to move on past that.
Also does anyone have any reccomendation on a better cam to use with this combo?Or any add on's i can help make this motor come alive.
Regard's Brian.

Re: NOS 200/250 Shot.
as far as the jetting + hp its actualy based on how much N20 you can flow you have to weigh bottles to find out. but lets just say a 20fuel and 24 nos is +150 shot and a 20fuel and 26nos 200 and a 20 fuel 28nos is equal to 250hp.
PLUGS NGK r5671a-9 will be good gapped at 26-28
"REASON for NGK Plugs straps will burn usually before piston Autolight you burn a strap usually you burn a piston"
as far as fuel anything over 150 i use the best fuel i can buy C16 or a 114 octane or higher fuel, this will save a motor if something is not quite right.
as far as 6psi fuel on the NOS fuel regulator this is going to be high in a fogger. you can start there but you will have to lower the fuel pressure i suggest starting at the lowest tune up and read plugs. If you do not know what the plugs are supposed to look like, Steve Johnson has a great set of pics on his Fourm. Also you can call him and he will help you out. Keep lowering fuel and adding timing until you have a clean plug. "NO BLACK" "NO TAN" should look like a #2 pencil mark in the lowest part of the porceline on the plug and thats it.
I also think the cam area could use some work call LEM EVANS on here he can ge you fixed up.

No Problem, Once you get the tune up figured out then you will be asking about suspension Trust me just take it slow and easy you will be surprised what it will do once you get the NOS hitting like it supposed too

I changed my plug's to NGK from Autolite did i get the right one's?
Hello everyone i took the advice and changed my plug's from Autolite AR3932 to NGK r5671a- 9
I'm only using a 150 shot NOS on my next run well in the spring of 2011 20fuel 24Nos.
I was wondering about the ground strap's the autolite plug is cut back but a little wider than the NGK.The NGK plug ground strap is longer than the autolite plug i was wondering did i get the right plug's?? or do they make something else for Nitrous?
Here are pic's of the NGK plug next to the Autolite plug.
The Autolite plug in this pic is on the right.

Re: NOS 200/250 Shot.
Yes you did get the right plug notice how the autolight is much thicker wider and shorter. The NGK in a Narrow thin strap (easier to burn). Now just tow the car to the lane make your pass kill motor at end of track drift to safe spot and pull plugs. now cut the plug with hacksaw or dremel tool right where the gasket (washer) is at the bottom of the threads and post a picture of the strap cut off and the plug(white porceline ) the next time you run get several boxes of the NGK's when you are first tuning. sometimes it will take one or 2 passes in the 1/8 to color the plug when the tuneup is right. if you see color in one pass on the porceline you hav two much fuel just remember to keep timing out untill you get plug clean then add timing to get the strap to look right.
Hope this helps

i dont have any pictures its usually on the prosolin darkish grey glazed look.i have only seen it on the ngk plugs,it may have been a product of not having new plugs everytime?

Re: NOS 200/250 Shot.
running more than one pass will cause color, you have to pull plugs every pass to get a true read and no idling, sometimes different fuels leave residue on plugs also. i run some renegade 118 nos fuel and it leaves an orange tint hue on the plug, when i run VP C16 a blue grey tint hue on the plug just the coloring of the fuel residue i guess I have run n20 vp also but it is so rich i never could get a clean tune up it is black the fuel has no color when it comes out the jug.
