Do you have a adjustable valve train for the d3's?

I thought when it came to your guy decking you said " My machine guy says he doesn't know how to do it much."

thats why i suggested you run like hell.. pick one guy from hear and follow his lead. you cant go wrong on this end but your hack for a machinist can most certainly assure one big fail, and possibly total destruction and total loss. instead of trying to dissect and confirm through uneducated outside sources of what is being told to you by probably the most educated actual hands on people withing the common mans reach, you should just run with the info and figure out why what they told you worked so well after the fact. ...so who are you gonna listen and learn from? I'm curious.

hey doc. why don't you post a thread asking the members of the forum to recomend a machine shop in your area? i'm sure there are some bbf racers near you. they will know what machinists have the knowledge of bbf's

Ok guys.
My machine guys said they can't do the zero deck because they don't really know how to get into it. So I will take it to another shop in Tifton.

I have to pay nearly $300 for the stuff these guys at the machine shop at for:
-Polishing crank
-Sleeve and install new sleeve
-Clean the block
-Camshaft bearing (I think)
and something else

But I think that price is no problem! Good deal I think. Wish they could Zero deck it though.

Now I am on my parts list that I am going to have to continue.

I need every part that I need to finish this build and install it in my 79 ford.
Anyone help me?

I have selected a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake but am stuck on all the rest.

I wonder if I already got a rear sump oil pan? The engine came out of a lincoln but we pulled it from a 80's f250 4x4...
