What you all didn't see,,,,,was Wes and the great Donald Bowles sitting around under a tent during a Friday rain shower and talking about all the idiosyncrasies of a V-6 53 Detriot Diesel. Donald has rebuilt more than his fair share of those engines, and the free sharing of knowledge between the two, was just something to be admired.

Good pic's Alan. I was talkimg w/Guy w/Beautiful Black truck,and we was gonna trade phone #'s. Does anyone know his contact. He said he lives in Florence Ky.

Yes you did Dan,thats a beautiful truck. I was pointing out the lettering to Sooz at the track. Great job brother.

That truck pulls those beautiful straight wheel stands evert time w/o hitch and runs the # also. Great job George.

It was a very sharp truck! I talked with him some and he showed me the whole truck. Beautiful and quick for a full bodied truck with a relatively mild motor.

It is a beautiful truck fosho. Gotta admit I chubbed more than once when checking it out. lol I also got some ideas for my build. Shoot, I got so many ideas for my build this weekend that my mind was overloaded. Not sure if I'll have enough sheet metal to list all the people I'll have to give special thanks to.. lol

I love this car, did it have a BBF in it? How fast was it?

That's my turd! Thank you very much for the kind words. It was my first car and has a 466 on Alky. Slowpoke runs 6.30's-40's in the 1/8. Looks better in pics than up close for sure LOL. I love your car as well, and have enjoyed seeing you post pics of your outstanding build.
