Fox Headers
I've been reading posts for the last 2 days and still haven't found my "warm and fuzzy" feeling about how to proceed with headers.
2 1/4" Fox headers for P51 w/glide, front plate, & tubular k-member- Is there anyone that has bought a set that is 100 percent happy with them? fit/finish? I know just enough about headers to know there is an art to them. I could fabricate something that fits, but that doesn't mean they will work. I would rather get a set that has some "science" built into the design and not just someone that made a set that might fit.

Re: Fox Headers
If your looking for a set that fits perfectly and big tubes, your best be is to talk with the Fab Shop and have them built for the car. Problem with the shelf stuff is the cars vary slightly and when using big tubes the fit gets real tight.

Re: Fox Headers
Fab Shop couldn't help. They said they would do a tube chassis car, but their custom guy that used to do this type of setup isn't there any more.

Re: Fox Headers
I found an old note of mine that had the name "Craig" w/ RCI headers. Has anyone done business with him?

CPR HEADERS
I HAD CPR HEADERS MAKE AS SET FOR MY 598 WITH FT. AND MID PLATE, THE PLATES WERE INSTALLED
FROM THE MOTOR MOUNT REFERENCE. I HAVE A-460 HEADS WITH A POWER GLIDE. THE HEADERS FIT VERY WELL, BUT WITH ANY 2 1/4 YOU WILL HAVE TO CUT A HOLE BEHIND THE STRUT TOWERS FOR NUMBER 4 AND
8 CYL. TUBE TO GO THROUGH THE INNER FENDER BUT AS FAR AS THE FIT IT WAS GREAT . THE TUBES ON THE PASS SIDE ARE TIGHT TO MY BELL HOUSING, AND THE STARTER WAS A PAIN...
