HP/ET loss with 4150-4500 adapter
I'm looking to try a dominator out on my new 514 build. The intake is 4150 as well as my nitrous plate. Just wondering if ill still pick up with the adapter going from my current 850 to a 1050. I plan in the future to modify the current victor intake to use the dommy since its matched to my heads.

Sometimes it picks-up and sometimes it doesn't ... there is no substitute for actual testing.

So if I don't see any gains it could still want a 4500 but without the adapter? I guess if I get one to try ill go for it. Thanks

There's a possibility a carburetor with a higher flow rating may provide better performance, if the engine's airflow demands are greater than a smaller carburetor can provide. I'm curious as to the gain or loss of performance you desire. Adding intake manifold plenum can offer improvements at different engine speeds as well the engine's mannerisms. Changing two aspects of you engine during one change, and a difference of each carburetor's ability, how is one to evaluate their effort?
Something that makes one go hmmmm!
