BBF engine crate Empty BBF engine crate

Post  Moodyblues November 10th 2013, 7:38 pm

Anyone have or know where I can get a engine crate for a BBF? Bolts on to the block for moving or storing under a workbench, wheels would be a plus.

Thanks

Charlie has a very nice engine stand for storage and comes with a roller base...

There's one that shows up on ebay once in a while from a welding shop. Pretty slick you can put wheels on it and it doesn't get in the way of anything. Defree mentioned in a post while back, maybe do a search for it. Hope it helps.

I think the big problem is that it is going to depend on your oil pan design. I have a Jeff Johnson fabed oil pan and a standard cradle wont work but here is one on summit.

The one from summit isn't too bad. I have it for just sitting the engine in the shop so it doesn't hang on the stand all the time. But I don't trust it for moving an engine in the back of a truck. It seems way too flimsy to hold up to that.
