Re: 2 stage diagram
methinks you got a better head to get it done with though, pretty sure the cam is too.
I dont think a 250 shot in a plate will get him there, and it takes a good bit to go 4.90s from a 5.0

Re: 2 stage diagram
Talked to IS today. Too many questions that I just could not answer. Bottom line 532 ci motor with a two stage Victor plate system will either make it to 4.90 or I'll blow it up trying to get there. The plate will host 500 hp. Will let you know the outcome later. Thanks again...

Re: 2 stage diagram
I recognize this thread hasn't been touched in a month or better, but in case you are still looking for wiring help, I did this. I use an Edelbrock controller for progressive delay on the 1st gun which activates on release of the tbrake (rattlesnake sound baby), then time delay off the controller for the 2nd gun to crash in.
another option is here:
No controller, and from here you can wire up your 2nd stage to hit off a momentary button pretty simple. I'd do it so the first stage has to be on as well as the momentary pressed to hit that 2nd stage.

Re: 2 stage diagram
4thHorseman, where were you a month ago? I really needed this information. Since then I have installed a fogger and removed the 2 stage plate. I did put a gemini twin 6 plate for the 1st stage. My question now is with the diagrams, could i use the fogger as a second stage?

Re: 2 stage diagram
Sorry for being late. Been wrenching like mad for the last 2 months getting ready for spring and haven't been on the pc so much. I had a single stage plate on my '69 last year. Just bolted a brand shiny new 2 stage plate system in last month. I located these diagrams to help me get mine set up. Works just ducky in the shop. No et data yet. Track is still closed for the season.
You can absolutely use your fogger for the 2nd stage. It don't matter how you want to setup your system. I think a plate as the first and a fogger as the second is pretty common. I've read (but I don't know if it's fact) that a plate tends to hit harder. Lots of guys will use a smaller hit in the plate off the tbrake and then release the hounds with the fogger after it's hooked up and rolling.
