head gasket thickness for NOS.
How thick of a head gasket do I need for spraying 300/350hp shot of nitrous on my 598/Aheaded deal.
motor specs are as follows
4.6 bore
4.5 stroke
6.8 rod
ring down .350
piston is .005 in the hole
14 to 1 compression
flat top piston
valve reliefs -4.88cc
I currently have a cometic gasket with 4.640 bore and .040 compressed thickness. thx

Id want the quench a little bigger imo w a 300-350 shot....... but honestly Id get the deal going and get to to track..... I doubt you'll wanna hit it that hard right away.
always can go through it later and make some changes...... track time might yeild some you cant see right now anyways.
get it to the track and dont sweat the little things.

well I have to re-ring the motor and the correct rings in it for spray so I figure may as well get everything right on this go around.

got some coolant seeping between head and motor on passenger side. So if I gotta pull the head may as well ring it and get the right thickness gasket for quench.

Have you tried re-torquing the heads? Might help stop the seeping.
