How about an educated H.P. guess ?
Hi guys,
My 73 mach 1 is just a weekend cruiser , curious about it's hp / tq , but not enough to find a dyno . If anyone thinks they have an idea what it's putting out , I 'd love to hear it . It's a 76 460, D3 stock heads + block,204/214 .479 / .504 cam , Edelbrock performer dual plane intake , edelbrock performer 780 carb , early 429 timing set ,pertronix flamethrower 2 billet dizzy + coil , Crites long tube headers w/ 2 inch primaries , 2.5 inch duals , she's a low mileage ,un-smogged , real strong runner .Thanks,
Eric

350-400 gross 280-330 Net SAE? Torque should be pretty strong, especially on the lowend. Sounds like a good street cruiser.

Yea, We had a 63 Sprint w/260 4speed when I was in HS. Me and my brothers beat that thing to death.

Love the body style. Reminds me of the Charles Bronson movie "The Mechanic" as they had a 1971 at the end, that unfortunately gets blown up.bbf-falcon wrote:Nice car.

X3...reminds me of my '73, gold w/black interior. I ordered it in August with a 351 HO and it took me till January to get it because it would not pass emissions. Too bad about the low compression, my father-in-law had a '70 Cougar 351 Cleveland that could have kicked my butt any day of the week. And I had to pay extra insurance because the Mustang Mach I was considered a performance car and the Cougar wasn't .
Oh well, I still loved the car.
