Ackerly & Childs suggested ring gap
Just like the title say's. I'm going over some records from a motor done in 2012 and noticed i have a written down .004" per bore gap on the top ring and .005" gap on the bottom ring. i just finished up another short block and used another brand of rings and the gap spec's were .005 X the bore size and .004-.008 larger on the second ring. Just thinking this motor may be a little tight. It runs good.
