Trying to figure out threads on my oil pan... Empty Trying to figure out threads on my oil pan...

on my 84 f250 with a 460 the oil pan has a threaded dipstick hole... I dont have a dipstick... so i am trying to plug the hole... any idea what thread the dipstick tubes. are??? I think its a brake line thread 3/8 but befour i force it in there just wondering if you guys know... Thanks

The hole is for a 3/8" tubing inverted flare fitting; Just like a fuel line.

On the CANTON pan i'm runnin, it's 1/4" pipe. I've got an adapter, like Mr. Malik says, to go 1/4" pipe to 3/8" inverted flare.
