Cool 429SCJ
http://www.cruisenewsonline.com/1965FordFairlane500/1965FordFairlane500Feature.html I found this looking for info on the Celica with the 460, though it was pretty cool.

Is the SuperCharger really 13% underdrive or was that a misprint? Can you give us more of a run down on the engine, if the owner is OK with it?maverick532 wrote:Yep it is damn cool . Where the rotors telflon stripped? Convertor diameter, rear tire height, and .050" cam duration. Did he ever run it at the track, and some times, if he does not mind. It is a very nice ride, a little too nice to race, almost.

Re: Cool 429SCJ
no the celica is not his . he does not race this car , he prefers to drive it and show it . he is part of a group here that have nasty supercharged rides that cruise and go to shows . I will get with him about your other questions .

Re: Cool 429SCJ
Thanks. I ment stall speed RPM for convertor. The 6/8-71's are real head turners at car shows for sure. Almost forgot, ask him how much boost he makes also. I have considered putting my 6/71 on my 429, but probably won't, at least not for a while.

Re: Cool 429SCJ
Did he ever live in south GA around Tifton back I would say back about 15 years ago I was in a car club here we did local cars show and cruises. They was a guy named Tim that was in it to that had a black 65 in mint condition all original with a 289 and 4 speed. I put new metal on his trailer that he kelp the car in I had the 65 at my house under a cover for about 3 weeks. I think they said he moved back to FL but this guy sounds just like the guy that did live here he also loved the 65s.
